Concept
The structure of the “white cube” that is the museum, of an outside world that is blended out, is broken up by means of the new installation. Inspired by the currently exceptional situation of Covid-19, the aim is to create a new experience of the indoor space and the outside world and to reinterpret the function of the Kunsthaus building. Three periscopes, which function like optical tubes to the outside, are attached to the building like parasites. They permit views of the outside and, in some cases, conversely into the building as well.
