rainwater silo gurzelen
Concept
The rainwater running off the large roof of the stands is to be captured and used for the community garden, children’s construction site, etc. A disused feed silo from a farm is being converted to store rainwater. The imposing “relic” is being converted and integrated into the urban setting. The graphic painting in the colors of Biel town enhances the character of the imposing structure, which is reminiscent of a “Tintin” rocket. It is also intended as a positive omen for a promising future for the project.

Idea and execution of a project with the gift from “Gurzelen-Plus” (building cooperative) for productive interim use of the former football stadium.

Metal silo, paint, concrete foundation, pipes to divert the water from the roof.
